Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 2, 2026

Introduction

Powers Installation LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a window coverings installation business based in Raytown, MO and serving the Kansas City metropolitan area. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from customers, how we use it, when (and only when) it is shared, and the rights customers have over that information.

This policy applies to information collected through our website, by phone, by email, by SMS, and during in-person service at the customer’s home.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information from our customers:

  • Name — first and last name of the customer or the person scheduling service.
  • Phone number — including mobile phone numbers, which we collect specifically to deliver SMS communications related to scheduled service.
  • Email address — used for written communication, scheduling, and order documentation.
  • Service address — the physical address where window coverings will be measured, installed, or serviced.
  • Appointment details — the date and time of service, the type of service requested, product information, and any access notes provided by the customer (for example, gate codes or pets at home).

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identifiers, or financial account information through this website.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Schedule and deliver measuring, installation, motorization, and repair appointments.
  • Send appointment confirmations, scheduling updates, arrival notifications, and service reminders by SMS to customers who have provided consent.
  • Communicate with customers about their service by phone, email, or SMS — for example, to confirm details before a visit or to follow up after an installation.
  • Respond to inquiries received through our website, by phone, or by email.
  • Maintain records of work performed, products installed, and any warranty obligations.

SMS / Text Message Communications

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances. This applies to every SMS-related data point we hold, including the mobile phone number itself and the record of consent associated with it.

How customers opt in

Consent to receive SMS messages is collected verbally at the time of scheduling, when a customer provides their phone number to our office or to 3 Day Blinds for service coordination. Written confirmation of consent is provided at the time of scheduling.

What messages we send

Customers who have opted in may receive SMS messages from us for the following purposes:

  • Appointment confirmations
  • Installation scheduling updates
  • Arrival notifications
  • Service reminders
  • Customer service follow-ups

We do not use SMS for marketing or promotional content.

Frequency and rates

Message frequency varies based on appointment and service activity. Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier’s plan.

How to opt out or get help

Reply STOP to any SMS message we send to unsubscribe from further messages. After opting out, we will continue to communicate with you about existing appointments by phone or email if needed.

Reply HELP to any SMS message for assistance, or contact us directly using the information in the Contact section below.

Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share personal information only in the limited circumstances listed below:

  • Service providers helping fulfill an order. We share information with companies that help us deliver service — for example, the retailer that sold the window coverings (such as 3 Day Blinds), product manufacturers handling warranty claims, and software providers we use to schedule appointments, send appointment-related messages, or process payments. These providers may only use the information to perform services on our behalf.
  • Business mergers, acquisitions, or sale of assets. If Powers Installation LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of business assets, reorganization, or similar transaction, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any acquiring party will be subject to the commitments in this policy.
  • Legal requirements and law enforcement. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process; to cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Powers Installation LLC, our customers, or others.
  • With the customer’s explicit consent. We may share information for a specific purpose when the customer has given clear, affirmative consent to that sharing.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are excluded from every sharing scenario above when the purpose of the sharing is marketing or promotion. As stated in the SMS / Text Message Communications section, this category of information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances, including in the context of a business transfer.

Data Retention

We retain customer records for as long as needed to provide service, fulfill warranty obligations, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting requirements. As a general rule, business records — including appointment records, invoices, and related correspondence — are kept for seven (7) years, consistent with standard small business recordkeeping practices.

When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or securely destroy it.

If a customer opts out of SMS communications, we keep a record of the opt-out so that we honor it going forward, but we no longer use that mobile number to send SMS messages.

Your Rights

Customers have the following rights with respect to their personal information:

  • Access. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction. You may ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Deletion. You may ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to exceptions where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, tax and accounting records).

To make a request, contact us using the details in the Contact section below. We will respond within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are directed to homeowners and adult customers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. A parent or guardian who believes their child has provided personal information to us should contact us using the information below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective date at the top of this page to reflect when the new version took effect. We encourage customers to review this policy periodically for the most current information.
